Are preserved flowers and plants natural?

The opposite of a natural flower is a fake flower. A copy is created as closely as possible using synthetic materials such as silk or plastic. Plant preservation is primarily a technology to freeze fresh plants and keep their youth over time. A flower is treated by different processes to make it last longer. We can therefore say without reservation that the raw material used to create preserved flowers is 100% natural.

What about the colored preserved plants?

Yet, looking at a preserved flower, doubts can remain. This feeling mainly comes from the color of these flowers. Indeed, the colors given to the preserved flower is copied from the original one : the use of dyes is part of the preservation process. Then, we can defend ourselves : the dyes we use are mainly food colorant. With them, we can get as close as possible to the true colors. Original ones can be created. Some fresh flowers are also painted with more or less doubtful results… but it is important to recognize that the preserved flower colors are not the original ones.
